Fields, Forests and the Foal

The entire dream was in shades of brown, from amber to near-black.

I was trying to get out of a sparsely wooded area. I was following a path. The path led me to an open field with a small ravine.  A lake was at the bottom of the ravine. The lake was crowned with some dead trees - or possibly dormant trees, given that the rest of the environment was invoking an autumn theme.

The path wound back and forth downward to the water. I walked around the lake and up a straight path through a field to the sparse woods on the other side. Following the path through these woods, I found myself back at the same lake; Back on the side where I first encountered the lake. Walking back down the serpentine path, I saw a white or cream horse tied to a tree standing about knee-deep in the water.

I set it free. It walked away slowly in a direction not following either path.

Again I walked up the opposite path and into the woods. Again I found myself at the top of the twisted path, looking down on the lake. Again there was the horse, its reins tied to a tree, standing in the lake. It was now in the water up to its shoulders. Again I set it free.

I went up the straight path and walked around the surrounding field, its amber grasses waving lightly in a breeze I did not feel. The sun was high in the sky, but not directly overhead. I was unsure if it was before or after noon. I pondered this for a few moments, only stopping because I awoke from my slumber.

The Storm

Date is correct.

I awoke (in the dream) in my old bedroom in the house in Albany. It was not decorated as it was when last I was there -- no, it was as if I was still living there. The room was adorned in items that I currently own (things that did not exist when I was there last), and in a style that matches my current home's decoration. I want to say the walls were a forest green, but I am not entirely sure.

It was the dark of night, or at least as dark as it ever got with a street light nearly right outside my window. The rumbling of thunder filled the silence. A flash of lightning filled the room, sending horizontal shadows from the mini blinds across every surface.

I suddenly found myself in the expansive bathroom. It was exactly as I recall - white-based faux marble tile on the floor and surrounding the elevated bathtub. Fixtures were originally a bright, polished brass, but now looked dull, as if covered by powder. Lightning struck again, illuminating the room through the skylight.

I was not alone. A shapely, attractive young Asian woman was there wearing only a knee-length, white button-down shirt. She wanted sex, and though at first I felt she was a commanding, overbearing presence, she soon became very submissive. I won't go into detail about this encounter but I will say it was only for my benefit. After that she wanted to take a bath. She got in the jet-tub and pleasured herself with the jets while I felt the need to redecorate part of the bathroom. Around the raised tub was a platform that held many items - mostly plants. For some reason I thought those needed to be rearranged at that exact moment.

After this encounter I found myself back in bed in my old bedroom. She was there, talking about how she needed to get to Syracuse by 10 AM to meet a man named Dennis. This was something related to a business (I want to say it has to do with the opening of a drug store, like a Walgreens). I looked at the clock - it was 2:30 AM. I said I would be up by 5.

Thunder rolled.
